Gaining Ground shares valuable lessons for work in PRUs

Gaining Ground was a two year action research project, lead by The Rural Media Company, that provided practical media workshops for excluded pupils, and professional development for teaching staff, at Pupil Referral Units (PRU's) in Herefordshire.

The project has provided a model that will contribute to good practice and future policy development for practical media work in PRUs and in the wider education world. More information about the project can be found at www.gainingground.org.uk .

The official launch of the project will take place at The Aconbury Centre on April 17th @ 3pm. Teachers and those with an interest in working within PRU's are most welcome to attend. Presentations and practical demonstrations will promote the work. Food and drinks will be provivded.
