Sign up for Film Club!

FILM CLUB is a new service supporting schools in setting up after-school film clubs to screen a diverse range of movies. It is currently in it pilot phase in Yorkshire, Kent, Northern Ireland and London and hopes to expand the service next year. They now need to know if YOU are interested in setting up a Film Club for your school.

FILM CLUB joined with LOVEFiLM, The Guardian, Film Education, the UK Film Council and other partners to deliver its pilot. It involved testing the FILM CLUB idea during the last two terms with 48 schools in Yorkshire, Kent, Northern Ireland and London. Evaluation of the project suggested it has worked really well, and they hope to offer FILM CLUB to thousands of schools. Their goal is to have actors, directors, writers and other leading film industry figures visiting many schools giving personal talks about their experiences. They will cover some of these visits on this website with a view to igniting other school's interest and exciting those already involved. Through these visits you will get a glimpse behind the curtain at the art of movie-making.
