Enyan consults on 'Aiming High' young people's strategyEnyan, the English youth arts network, is giving those working with young people the opportunity to shape government policy on cultural provision. Following its conference "The Youth Offer: Arts Meeting Young People's needs" in November, where Margaret Hodge MP asked the sector for help in shaping government plans, the agency is asking for people to email their input for collation and submission to the government in the new year. 'Aiming High', the government's cultural strategy was announced earlier in the year. Mrs Hodge, the Minister for Culture, Creative Industries and Tourism, called on theose working with young people in the arts and cultural sectors to submit their thoughts and feeling to help form future plans: What should a youth cultural offer look like? What should the key cultural elements of this strategy and how should they be delivered? To be part of the consultation email your views to enyan@artswork.org.uk by Monday 24th December. You can find out more about the conference by visiting their website: www.enyan.co.uk. |
